It’s important that you enroll in your AHEAD benefits within 30 calendar days of your start date. If you have questions, we have resources, and the AHEAD benefits team is happy to help you.

New Hire Benefits Checklist

  • Explore the benefits options available to you by reviewing this site or the Benefits Guide.
  • Review your medical expenses over the past year to estimate how much you may want to contribute to the Healthcare Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA).
  • Make sure you have Social Security numbers, addresses and dates of birth for any dependents you wish to add to your AHEAD benefits, as well as beneficiaries.
  • Verify that your mailing address in UKG is correct.
  • If you do not wish to enroll in any AHEAD benefits, be sure to still designate beneficiaries for your company-provided life insurance.
  • After you enroll, watch for additional information about dependent verification. You may need to provide additional documentation to confirm your dependent’s eligibility for coverage.
  • You will be automatically enrolled in the 401(k) plan at 3% of your before-tax earnings after 30 days after Empower sends out your enrollment letter.
